We are a Carbon Neutral Business!

Oct 10, 2022

We are delighted to announce that as of September 2022 Baker Tilly Isle of Man were certified as a carbon neutral business.

It has never been more important for businesses to step up and take account of the environmental impact associated with their operations.

So, in September 2022, we instructed Carbon Neutral Britain to help quantify, calculate, and offset our carbon footprint from 2021.

“We are delighted to partner with Baker Tilly Isle of Man Limited to help identify and offset their environmental impact for 2021 and beyond.”

James Poynter, Director at Carbon Neutral Britain

Carbon Neutral Britain fund projects in Britain and around the world to reduce the amount of CO²e in the earth’s atmosphere. By offsetting your carbon footprint – with projects to remove CO²e, CNB enable businesses and individuals to balance out emissions to become carbon neutral.

Carbon neutrality refers to the achievement of net-zero carbon dioxide emissions. This can be done by balancing emissions of carbon dioxide with its removal or alternatively by eliminating surplus emissions.

Working in partnership with Carbon Neutral Britain Baker Tilly Isle of Man met all standards in measuring and calculating carbon emissions generated by the business and will now be offsetting organisational emissions via Carbon Neutral Britain’s portfolio of certified carbon reduction projects around the world.

As part of our on-going ESG commitment, we are conscious about our carbon footprint and becoming a carbon neutral business has been high on our list of priorities. Thanks to Carbon Neutral Britain we have now achieved that status and we are offsetting our emissions by investing in a wide variety of valuable projects. This is a first but major step in our green journey, but we are proud to be on the right path.”

Director

Carbon neutral status is also awarded annually, meaning that we will continue to regularly assess and offset our emissions, as required, in the years to come.
