We are a Carbon Neutral Business
At Baker Tilly Isle of Man, we are committed to reducing our impact on the planet, and as part of our sustainability journey have just become certified carbon neutral.

Safeguarding our environment
We believe that it is crucial to safeguard our environment and preserve it for future generations. As a responsible business, it is our obligation to do all we can to ensure our carbon footprint is as low as possible and to offset any carbon we produce through verified projects. Only by doing this can we consider ourselves to be truly carbon neutral.

What does carbon neutral mean?
Carbon neutrality refers to the achievement of net-zero carbon dioxide emissions. This can be done by balancing emissions of carbon dioxide with its removal or alternatively by eliminating surplus emissions.
By achieving carbon-neutral status, we have a picture of our impact on the environment across our water, waste, electricity, gas, and business travel. We’ve taken positive action to offset the carbon emissions associated with our business – funding projects that ‘save’ the same amount of carbon as we emitted.

Our journey to becoming a carbon neutral business
It has never been more important for businesses to step up and take account of the environmental impact associated with their operations.
As part of Baker Tilly Isle of Man’s ESG strategy, we have been aiming to become a carbon-neutral company, and we are proud to announce we have been awarded a Carbon Neutral Britain Certification for a third year.
Carbon Neutral Britain
Carbon Neutral Britain is the UK’s leading carbon offsetting initiative – allowing individuals and businesses to offset their environmental impact.
As a specialist climate advisory consultancy, Carbon Neutral Britain independently audited our carbon footprint, to confirm its accuracy, we then worked with them to offset our emissions. In taking these actions, we became a carbon-neutral business.
“We are delighted to partner with Baker Tilly Isle of Man to help identify and offset their environmental impact from 2021 and beyond.”
Carbon offsetting projects
Through the Carbon Neutral Britain Climate Fund™, we have offset our total carbon emissions through internationally certified carbon offsetting projects. Certified via the Verra – Verified Carbon Standard (VCS), the Gold Standard – Voluntary Emission Reductions (VER) or the United Nations – Certified Emission Reductions (CER) programmes, the projects have also been selected based on their direct and indirect impact around the world – not just in offsetting, but also in supporting education, employment, and clean water, as well as having a net positive impact on the local wildlife and ecology.
